Salkantay trek to machu picchu

Hello friends, my girlfriend and I did the Salkantay trek to Machu Picchu route and it was an unforgettable experience. Our guide was a valuable travel companion attentive to us enjoying the experience of the road, encouraging us, giving us the instructions to do it in the best way, giving us information about culture, customs, history, archaeological sites, teaching us about the nature that open to each step, plants, rivers, mountains. The hike is not that heavy, it is 12 km the first day. I recommend a light backpack, rain poncho and repellent!
Setting foot in the citadel of Machu Picchu leaves you speechless, it is a feeling of tremendous peace and you feel a unique energy, the guides tell you the secrets of that place with so much passion that you feel that they lived it themselves, I have to admit which became one of my favorite destinations.
